Click on the Mission, Vision,  Belief, or Prescott Pledge heading at the bottom of the page and watch them come to life!

The following is a great resource for development from birth to three years.

Quick Start for LightSail use at home:

If your child has an Internet connection and access to an iPad at home, your child will be able to log in at home and continue reading where he or she left off in school.  Just find the free LightSail app by searching LightSail in the Apple App Store.  Once the app has been downloaded, students will need to connect with PSES by entering our school code: kpelem5

Dear Prescott Families,

The end of the year is close, but please continue to read 20 minutes per night with your child.  We have several special trips, projects, and events these last few weeks of school. We try to use these days to showcase all we have learned or visit a special place that will help us understand what has been learned in a real life scenario. It has been an amazing year at PSES; please help your child create, design, and improve an invention over the summer.  Thank you for your support.

Sincerely,

Breakfast is a huge success!

Dear Prescott Parents,

The Community Eligibility Breakfast and Lunch have proven to be an amazing success.  We are seeing fewer tardies, more prepared and alert students, less separation anxiety, and more excitement to come to school.

From 7:30-7:43, students in Kindergarten, 1st grade, and 2nd grade will pick their breakfast up in the gym. If you are a parent of a K-2nd grade student who walks your child in prior to 7:43, please go to the gym to get his/her breakfast.  They will still eat in the classroom, but serving them early has helped lessen the length of the lines. Please arrive prior to 7:43 to allow your child to get breakfast in the gym.  Those students are escorted to class by teachers.

If you have a 3rd-4th grade student who needs breakfast, 3rd will be released with a PSES adult at 7:40 to get breakfast, but will not be released to classrooms until 7:45.  4th grade breakfast will be served from 7:40-7:55. Their line is fast, and they are great at making decisions.

If you are not able to arrive by 7:55, your child will need to eat breakfast prior to arrival. Breakfast carts will close at 7:55.

All students will need to be fed, have trash disposed of, and be ready for whole group instruction by 8:05.  All parents need to know that learning begins at 7:45.  As soon as students enter the class there is purposeful morning work to be completed.  Most classes have a “working breakfast” and a “working snack”.  Lunch is a social time, and it is served in the cafeteria.

The goal for all students if for them to be  in the classroom by 7:45 to begin morning work. Thank you for helping us support your child and a wonderful education at Prescott South Elementary!

If school is dismissed early, 21st Century classes will be cancelled and students should be picked up at early dismissal time.  On late arrival days (example 10:00 a.m. days), there will be no morning 21st Century classes.
