Mrs. Vickie Cherry has been named our Rotary Teacher of the Year!  Mrs. Cherry has been at PSES for three years.  She has spent most of her career at Parkview Elementary where she taught 1st grade, 2nd grade, and math intervention.  She is very proud to be part of the Putnam County School System.  She and her husband have been life-long educators and raised their children in the school system.

Mrs. Cherry began teaching because of the wonderful, positive school teachers she had in her own experience.  She loves her students and hopes to leave them with a love for learning for the rest of their lives.  She sees that her hard work is all worth it when she meets former students years later and they thank her for the good school memories.  Mrs. Cherry holds high expectations for her students' achievement and fun!

Congratulations, Mrs. Cherry on this honor!
