Good evening Prescott families!
We had a wonderful first day of school today! I want to communicate some information.
Breakfast will be served in the cafeteria from 7:15-745 each morning at no cost to families. Students will still go to the gym. They will be escorted to the cafeteria by school employees for breakfast each morning. Breakfast service will stop at 7:45 to allow students time to eat and get to class by 8:00.
Our 10 from 10 initiative has begun! Please request $10 from 10 people, so we can finish our fundraising next week for the WHOLE YEAR! After today, Mrs. Kirby’s class is in 1st place and Mrs. Mullican and Mrs. Pecora’s class are tied for 2nd place.
The school bookfair is opened each day during the school day and Friday night during our free Carnival. If it rains Friday, we will move the fun indoors. We know the Putnam County Fair is in town Friday, so come to school from 5-7 and you still have the option for more fun after 7:00.
Thank you for your support with school supplies, fees, and wonderful children. We look forward to seeing everyone again tomorrow! These messages will be posted on the school web site at prescottsouthelementary.com .
Have a great night.
Dear Prescott Families,
We are so excited to see everyone Monday. I wanted to call and let you know all the exciting things going on the first two weeks of school. That’s right, the first two weeks!
Our Book Fair will be open starting July 27-August 2 during the school day and Friday from 5-7 during the Back to School Carnival. Please contact Mrs. Laura Shaver email@example.com if you are able to volunteer with the book fair. She needs as much help as you can give! (Book Fair Link)
Back to School Carnival, what? That’s right! We are having a back to school carnival with free games, balloon characters, face painting, and much, much more! The carnival will be in the PreK / Daycare loop Friday night from 5-7. If it rains, we will move the event to the gym. There will be food available for purchase.
In response to parent requests, we are going to have one fundraiser this year. We are asking all families to ask at least 10 people for $10 by August 5. We are calling this “10 from 10”. 100% of the money raised will go directly back to the school. If it is successful, we will not have a tumbler sale or Doggie Dash. All checks should be made out to the Prescott PTO. Our Carnival is the party to celebrate the fundraiser. The only prizes purchased will be lunch for the top boy and girl fundraiser who will have lunch with the Principal, and the top fundraising class will have a snow cone party. We hope this is a huge success!
Smart Cards will be for Sale- many families look forward to these, and they sell themselves.
One last thing, if you haven’t, please go to the school web site and register your Kroger card with our school. (Register Here)
