9  Wikipedia‐thon Event

4:30 pm – 6:30 pm

Description: The Millard Oakley STEM Center is hosting this event lead by Dr. Allen Driggers of

the TTU History Department. Come and join scholars and students to learn how to edit and

compose wikipedia articles! New to using wikipedia? We'll have pros to help you learn how to

edit wikipedia! Our theme this time will be women and science. We'll have resources and

information handy to help you compose an interesting entry!


10  Science & Engineering Fair Awards Ceremony 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm

Description: Come and see the entries for this year’s fair. Open public viewing and the award

ceremony will take place during this time.


17  Fab Friday 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm

Description: STEM Fab Friday events are focused on getting families and their children

engaged in STEM activities. There are two regularly schedule events each semester held on

Friday's from 6‐8 pm. We look forward to having families enjoy time together while exploring

new STEM concepts through hands‐on activities.


25  STEM Safari Saturday 9:00 am – 12:00 pm

Description: Fairytale STEM Once upon a time, families came to the TTU STEM Center

to enjoy STEM activities related to beloved fairy tales. Together these families built

bridges for the 3 Billy Goats Gruff, designed stronger houses for the 3 Little Pigs,

measured Rapunzel’s hair, and guessed Rumplestiltskin’s mathematical riddles. The

families had so much fun they skipped back to their homes and lived happily ever

after. The end.

25  STEM Safari Saturday 9:00 am – 12:00 pm

Description: STEM Wars Long ago in a galaxy far, far away there were families seeking

weekend activities to stimulate their young children’s minds. They found what they were

looking for at the TTU STEM Center. They made lightsabers for Luke, rescued Han from the

carbonite, and coded with Leia. May the STEM force be with you.
